This is a definition that has unleashed a series of concepts because it aroused much enthusiasm in the organizations themselves. In view of the constant changes that companies have undergone, it is necessary not only to evaluate them but also to have defined what the company to which you belong is pointing to.

There is one point that you must be clear about, it is that leadership is built based on the principles of the company and various types can be practiced to achieve the objectives that will determine the performance and control of the company because the results will aim to improve both the productivity, the motivation of the workers and also the reputation of the organization in general.

This is one way that one company can differentiate itself from another. Let us think that each one of them has its personality, appearance and attributes. In that sense, it is necessary to know the leadership styles that make a brand work in the best way, but first it is essential that you know that there are characteristics that define the profile of a leader.

Characteristics of a leader

Leaders have the important task of being agents of change within a company, but to achieve this, they must also have a series of characteristics that help to better outline the objectives, they are skills that may or may not come intrinsic to the individual or they may go away. developing with the training and knowledge of the area.

So, to be a leader you must have:

Leadership styles

Now, yes, the time has come to reveal the leadership styles that will lead a company to the success they want. Remember that it is important that they are based on the principles and values โ€‹โ€‹of each organization in order to define it more precisely, they are:

  • autocratic leadership

It is when a leader has an absolute point of view on the workers. While employees have the opportunity to offer their suggestions, many people feel bad about being treated with these types of techniques. In this leadership, absenteeism and worker turnover prevail. It is usually used in companies without qualification because by having control, the disadvantages are not overcome.

  • bureaucratic leadership

They are all those leaders who submit their actions, based on concepts and bibliographic foundations. They are able to follow to the letter what an author says in a specific book, ensuring that the result of their problems is there. It is appropriate in companies where there is a security risk or large amounts of money are handled.

  • charismatic leadership

They are those leaders who inspire enthusiasm and bring a charge of energy to all processes of the company and employees. They must have a lot of confidence in themselves to be able to transmit security to their teams and to everyone around them. Companies depend so much on them that, when they are not there, the organization does not have the same result.

  •  democratic leadership

These leaders are responsible for inviting other people not only to be part of the decisions but also to contribute to different processes, increasing satisfaction and developing other skills in the team. This allows everyone to be in control of their own destiny.

It is a style that takes time and can take a long time to manage, but when it takes hold the results are positive.

  • Liderazgo Let it be

It is a French expression that means โ€œlet it beโ€, and they are those leaders who allow their employees to work on their own. The key to success is constantly monitoring what they are doing and engaging in effective communication with each other.

  • People-oriented leadership

They are in charge of organizing, supporting and developing teams. It is characterized by being participatory, promoting empowerment and creative collaboration.

  • natural leadership

It is not formally recognized by the company, but it is a person who, being at any level of the company, is capable of meeting the satisfactions and needs of a team. Many say that this style is a good way of working where values โ€‹โ€‹are increasingly important.

  • task oriented leadership

They focus solely on their objectives to be met within the company. They are able to define roles for each staff, based on the planning, organization and control of the entire process. They do not think about the well-being of people.

  • transactional leadership

Here the team members agree to obey their leader in everything he says and asks; that is, they pay with effort and full dedication to the various tasks that are requested.

  • transformational leadership

It is the leadership style with the greatest weight by theorists. It consists of constantly and enthusiastically inspiring teams. For this, it is vital that leaders feel support from other employees to carry out their actions.

As you can see, there is a large universe of styles that help define organizations. Being successful will depend on a series of elements where the leader is a key player in decision-making.
